Eku ojo Ose Jakuta Irentegbe Temple and OsaWoriTemple. I greet you all on the day of Shango and Ọya!
Ọya is known to ride into battle atop a buffalo. When it is time to fight, she puts on pants and she grows a beard. All her enemies tremble as she is more feared than her husband, Sango! In addition to this, her beauty is known far and wide. There is no space to discount or degrade the divine feminine within the Ifá tradition. We do not pit men against women, we recognize the cosmic balance between masculine and feminine. This balance exists both within us and all around us.
